Tell us about your PR background prior to joining RH Strategic.
Prior to joining the RH team, I worked in energy communications for large energy generators and utilities in the U.S., as well as industry trade associations. I’m excited to join RH and continue my PR career here in D.C.!
When you are not working hard for your clients, where could we find you?
You can find me and my shepherd-lab pup, Petey, exploring our neighborhood. Well, you can find me getting dragged along as Petey explores our neighborhood (he’s a very social boy).
What about PR excites you the most?
I love to communicate about my clients’ exciting initiatives and projects. Helping to draw attention to the important work that they are doing is very fulfilling to me. Educating people on how society is benefiting from a client’s achievement is one of the best parts of the job!
What’s the biggest misconception people have about public relations?
I don’t know that it’s a misconception, but I think people don’t fully realize how diverse a skillset PR professionals must have to effectively provide value for their clients. The PR industry is constantly evolving, and it’s critical to stay abreast of new trends and best practices. One of the most interesting areas of growth is in digital media, and how the digitalization of traditional press and social media have resulted in the age of the 24-hour news cycle.
How would you spend your perfect Saturday night?
If it’s nice out, you can catch me at a local beer garden catching up with friends. If I’m back home in Philly, my perfect Saturday night involves singing karaoke at Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar and late-night cheesesteaks (Dalessandro’s or get out).
