I’m passionate about people. I like to understand what motivates the people I meet and what makes them unique. This passion for understanding and sharing their story is what drove me to a career in strategic communications.

Discovering stories about individuals and deciphering what makes them interesting to others is a key to success in public relations. Messaging, to me, is the most interesting component of storytelling. I love to figure out which words will most effectively get a point across and which phrases will resonate best with audiences.

Before joining RH Strategic, I built national communications campaigns focused on child nutrition research and advocacy at the Pew Charitable Trusts and the development of on-water safety standards for the U.S. Coast Guard. Through those experiences, I was able to learn what makes something shareable and newsworthy – a feat that would be impossible without a deep understanding of your client and your audience.
