When the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Association was awarded federal funds as one of seven “H2 Hubs” across America, the stakes were enormous. The new Hub looked to attract billions in potential private investment, but its public-facing brand was built for a grant pitch, not sustained engagement. Its coalition spanned state agencies, Tribal nations, energy companies, research institutions and community partners — all with distinct priorities and audiences. RH’s task: Create a shared identity, align diverse concerns and give PNWH2 the communications infrastructure to lead on the national stage.

Modernize, Unify, Mobilize

RH Strategic rebranded PNWH2 from the ground up, replacing dense technical jargon with accessible, benefits-driven language and creating a visual identity that reflected both regional roots and national ambition. We rebuilt the website into a clear, public-facing platform and equipped Hub partners with unified messaging toolkits, maps, one-pagers and multilingual collateral. To build trust and demystify hydrogen, we engineered the Hub’s first major public event: a high-impact webinar that drew 800+ registrants and delivered enduring content assets through recordings, materials and recaps that extended well beyond the live moment.

Positioned to Lead

RH Strategic drove disciplined, milestone-based media engagement and executive visibility, creating a steady cadence of updates that kept PNWH2 present in the national conversation. Through targeted outreach, LinkedIn amplification and coordinated partner communications, we sustained engagement across the Pacific Northwest while elevating the Hub’s standing on Capitol Hill and among federal stakeholders. PNWH2 became more than just one of seven hubs nationwide, becoming a defining voice in how hydrogen’s future is discussed, funded and understood.
